Analysis of similar product.

Se7en by David Fincher.

seven (se7en) is a 1995 American thriller film is a well known thriller and is also one of the motives behind our film. The film features two protagonist detectives and one antagonist serial killer. The tow detectives search for the killer, following clues attempting to gain the upper hand however, all seems lost as the John Doe continuously out smartens the heroes and and gets away however the whole film build to the climax of the ending where John Doe is shot by Detective Mills.
Detective Mills is a middle aged, younger detective than his partner Summerset. Similar to our film we have adopted the idea of having two protagonists allowing the audience to differentiate and ask questions as this conforms to the conventions of a thriller movie. The film follows Todorov's theory of narrative however the "journey" is the main focal point of the film, we aim to carry out a different approach as our film will be much shorter and also after analysing se7en i came to the conclusion that the "journey" dragged on and the tense atmosphere faded. Therefor we intend to create a fast paced thriller allowing are target audience of 16-25's to constantly feel engaged in a tense, uneasy narrative that will express thrill throughout.
