Sound
We will use background diegetic sounds as the clock
ticks and tocks in interview
scene to reflect time and to help drive narrative as this represents time and creates uncertainty making the audience want to watch more.
Dialogue will be used throughout as this
is the main source to drive narrative however silence will be used as sounds of props will be heard creating a tense atmosphere for the audience as we build to a climax.
Diagetic and non-diagetic sounds will be used. Diegetic sounds will be dialogue and and props within the film. Non-diegetic sounds will be sounds that the audience will not be able to hear, for example music and credit sequences. Another feature that we could utilize is a score the film, similar to the iconic opening sound in the film Jaws. This allows the film to be instantly recognisable.
