We will use back lighting and low key lighting to create thrill and uncertainty, this conforms to the conventions of a thriller as low key lighting expresses tention, suspence and uncertainty towards the audience.

We will use low key lighting indoors and natural lighting outdoors as bright lights connote equilibrioum, thus portraying normality to the audience allowing them to buy into the narrative. The low key lighting will be used for the disequilibrium, as darkness portrays mystery and uncertainty, making the audience feel on edge. This further more allows the audience to gain a clear perception of the characters as the lighting and background they are in portrays there personas and ideologies about them clearly for example our villain will be instantly recognisable to our audience as he will be in a dark, hostile environment.
